Delroy (yes it's pronounced the way you see it) is a Ladysmith born, Pietermaritzburg bred creative of Shona heritage studying towards a BSc degree in Quantity Surveying degree at the University of Pretoria.

Whether it's through artworks, photography, modelling or music; I've always been one to express myself in a creative manner. Inspired by local  South African blogs and influencers such as The Threaded Man, The Bearded Muse, Black Thought, L-Type, Maps Maponyane and Trevor Stuurman, I've decided to express myself as a creative through a platform that will share crisp content on local menswear and lifestyle that is impactful on the modern man.

What's with the blog name my guy?

I happen to be a part of a statistic of people whose names are apparently difficult to pronounce despite their peculiar simplicity. 95 percent of the time upon introduction, I tell a person my name approximately five thousand times, hence the name of the blog is a play on this frequent incident. Alternatively the blog name serves as a firm stamp that establishes who I am and my presence as a creative.

My philosophy is to strive to 'be the man that is always a step ahead of the game': Quality grooming and fits on a student budget; one who yearns for a bounty of endless distinction; creatively inspired; the man that presents it all with relative ease and no fear of standing out; the student that searches for a not-so-average lifestyle. This platform will explore my ideal to the full. Although I don't have all the answers [Sway], I aim to become a guideline based on my personal perspective and misadventures.
